KING 5 Seattle: Bellevue-based company mourns the passing of a Ukrainian employee.

Yana Rykhlitska was killed in Russian mortar attack Friday, March 3rd 2022 near Bakhmut. She worked for Akvelon, a software engineering company with offices across the globe, including in Ukraine. Yana was a combat medic and a volunteer with United With Ukraine, a registered American non-profit organization. 

"She was tiny, but incredibly strong" - says Sergei Dreizin, Akvelon's CEO and United With Ukraine's Co-Founder.
